Fantastic photograph of the conifer. Suppose if it were smaller it would have been just another burning bush. lol

I'm so glad you weren't burned out. How terrifying really. Here in Texas things are so dry and already we've had very very bad fires. I wouldn't hesitate to call the fire department. They should fix the roads so that they can properly get to your residence. Or get longer hoses.
